Untouched nature, tame, but also moderately wild, makes Sokobanja a valuable tourist gem on the map of Serbia. The winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, Ivo Andrić, started writing of his novel in Sokobanja. Apartment number 144 of the hotel “Moravica” in which Andrić stayed is open for visitors.

Nušić wrote the famous catchword “Sokobanja – Soko-grad, one comes old and leaves young”. Sokobanja qualities were also recognized by the ancient peoples who lived in this region.
