Until recently, it was impossible to imagine the Jaguar brand in the SUV segment. However, this recently changed, and what a change it was. The first change came with the appearance of the F pace model, which became well known and popular – and won numerous prizes and awards. Some of these include the World Automobile of the Year, as well as the best-designed car in the world for 2017.
Now, Jaguar is presenting their second model, this time in the compact SUV category. The E pace model is the younger – and somewhat more compact – heir of the aforementioned F model. Even though it is recognized as a sports car, E pace is a compact SUV characterized by a spacious interior and enhanced safety, in addition to the proportions typical of family cars and fierce performances. With its 4.4 meters of length, as we have said, it is classified as a compact SUV. E pace, even though it is associated with F pace at first sight, should also be associated with the F type model. The headlights, as well as the cockpit, i.e. the interior, provide the necessary dose of the sporting feel to this car – which is what Jaguars coupe F type brings. In addition, there are the performances not-so-typical of such an SUV vehicle.
The interior, which is not too large and, we would say, is quite compact, is modern, driver-centric, elegant and luxurious. TFT digital dashboard with a 12.3-inch screen, an additional 10.2-inch touchscreen dedicated to infotainment, inevitable connectors for mobile devices are just some of the things that set this model apart, making it special. Among the different engines offered, the 2L 300hp engine stands out. Robust, muscular but at the same time sophisticated, refined and modern in appearance, E pace goes well with a businessman or woman, but also with young families.
The world premiere of E pace raised a lot of interest – the acrobatic stunts that were performed allowed the car to break several Guinness records. The prepremiere in Belgrade, in the British Motors salon, was somewhat more “subdued”, but since we are looking forward to the launch of this model in Serbia in January of next year, we are certain that it will be very dynamic and attractive. As is the E pace itself. We are also sure it will be held at some unexpected venue.
